Summer Ride

Hello!! I hope the week is treating everyone well so far. This week starts Vacation Bible School so I am busy helping with kids crafts. We just finished swim lessons and the girls are taking a break from dance so I think the rest of the summer should be more relaxed and maybe we can start crossing things off of our bucket list.
It seems that Google Reader is definitley going away so I swithched over to Bloglovin and it seems to be working out so far. Here is the link to continue to  Follow my blog with Bloglovin.
I want to share my card for the latest challenge at CMC Copic Challenge Group and to tell you that this will be my last card as part of the Design Team.  I have decided to make sure that I spend as much time with my kids this summer as possible especially since my youngest is about to start Kindergarten.  I love Suzanne so much for allowing me to be part of such a wonderful team and for the chance to know what a wonderful person she is.  This isn't goodbye, just time to take a short break.

This cute image is called Harley and Haley.  I had fun with this color scheme it just seemed so bright and cheerful.  The ticket stamp is Whimsy Treasured Moments.  I used My Silhouette Cameo to cut out and create all the flowers and swirl.  I just love how the flowers turned out, they are so fun and different I do believe.  I will definitely be using my Cameo more.

It is hard to believe that this is the last weekend in March not to mention Easter time already.  This year is just flying by already, crazy I tell ya.  Tomorrow will be filled with dying eggs, church in the evening and always fun with the kiddos.
It is time for a new challenge at the CMC Copic Challenge Group and this is one of my favorites.

I found this customizable album from American Crafts that holds 6x6 inserts so I thought I would use it to keep my cards in that I want to keep.  This image from Saturated Canary called Color Me Wonderful seemed like it would make the perfect cover photo paired with paper in my favorite colors.

I love coloring hair and I know I get in a habit of using the same old colors so for this one I decided to mix it up and add some fun pink streaks to her hair. The paper I used is Basic Grey Out of Print.  I doodled around the image using a Copic Multi Liner 0.1.
Suzanne Dean has a fabulous online class at CMC to teach you all kinds of great techniques for hair and you can get all the details HERE.

Spring Time Challenge at CMC

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!! It was a great week here. We are on our last day of spring break and even though we didn't go anywhere I had a wonderful time with my kids. I am so blessed to have such well behaved loving kids. For that reason we got them a trampoline for some spring time fun. I love the fact they are enclosed these days back when I was a kid you just fell off and broke some bones...yikes!!
Anyway I just wanted to let you know that there is a new challenge up at the CMC Copic Challenge Group.

Best Friends Forever and DT News

Hello!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I am sorry it has been so long since my last post. I have had so many projects and things going on with my kids that I got a bit behind. The biggest project is my Riley's big girl bedroom make over, so stayed tuned for that.
I wanted to share some exciting news!! I have been selected to be on the design team for The Paper Shelter.  If you have followed me for awhile you know how much I love their adorable images so to be on the team is such an honor.  My first official challenge will be March 6th which is right around the corner:)

You still have a few days to enter our "Girly Time" Challenge over at the CMC Copic Challenge Group.   This should be an easy one for everyone so I hope you will join in for a chance to win some great prizes and the chance to be the featured Guest Designer.
My card today goes along with the "girly " theme for sure.  My Riley's very best friend also named Rylie has a birthday coming up and this image is absolutely perfect.  I have mentioned how Tiddly Inks Wryn reminds me of my daughter, add a friend that looks just like her and this could be the two of them in digi form and you can find it HERE
I just love this paper with all of the cute little purses so I tried my best to keep the layers to a minimum so it wouldn't cover them up.

It is hard to believe that Valentine's Day s right around the corner. It feels like the new year is already flying by.  I am going to keep my chatter to a minimum today and just let you know about the new challenge at the CMC Copic Challenge Group.

SHOW SOME KIND OF TEXTURE
(furry, dirt, gravel, fuzzy, rocks, brick, wood, weathered, etc)
We want to see you use YOUR COPICS, ProMarkers, other alcohol markers or Colored Pencils!!
Our wonderful sponsor this time is The Stamp Fairy.  They have the cutest digis just perfect for your Valentine. I used Hugo for my card today.

I created texture by using short flicking motions in the direction that I thought the hair would grow going from dark to light.  I also drew the heart flower and added a gravel path.  I used Deconstructed Sketch 86 for my layout, I loved this one and the Heart Die cut is from Spellbinders.

Bloom and Grow

Hello!! It has been a doozie of a week here with me and my littlest being sick all week long.  One thing would go away and then some other symptom would pop up.  I rarely get sick, honestly maybe once a year but I think it maybe longer. Lets face it moms can't get sick or things fall apart.
The kids are watching a movie as I type this and I can't wait for them to go to bed to catch up on some shows on the DVR and maybe sneak a bowl of ice cream.  I absolutely love to watch Hart of Dixie. I guess it is one of those guilty pleasure shows.  I love the south cute small town idea.  That is where I would like to move for sure, not good for the hubby and Architecture though.  My other favorites to watch Once Upon a Time (love their take on fairy tales) this is a must watch in my book,  Castle is another great one and Revenge.  So what are your favorite TV shows or guilty pleasures these days?
There is a new challenege up at the CMC Copic Challenge Group and it is a fun one.
Favorite Color Combos
color ANY image ANY way you like
but WE WANT TO SEE YOU USING YOUR FAVORITE COLOR COMBOS and tell us why they are your fave if you'd like too!
We want to see you use YOUR COPICS, ProMarkers, other alcohol markers or Colored Pencils!!
One lucky winner (at random) will win a
free CMC Online Class of their choice from any of Marti Will's classes (Prisma Pencil classes, Cricut or Mixed Media classes...see all of her classes in Class tab at top of site)

My favorite color combos happen to be pinks, blue greens with a touch of green.   I think they are so fresh and definitely girly.  I also used my favorite hair color combo and my all time favorite stamps Saturated Canary this one is Princess Rose Red.  I have some more birthdays coming up, my middle daughter Riley turns seven Monday so I decided this might be a nice gift for her to keep rather than a card. She is after all my biggest fan. This cute box is from 7 Gypsies and I found them at Michaels and Archivers. ( I have another version to show you soon).

Winter Blues

Did everyone survive Thanksgiving and the Black Friday Sales? Thanksgiving was a nice and small one here. We had a lot of yummy food and the kids had fun making decorations that morning. I made my first attempt at an after Thanksgiving Sale with my mom. We kept walking and walking to try and find the end of the line at Target and I just couldn't help but laugh at the craziness of people waiting so we left.  The great thing is I got a lot of the same deals on line that morning with free shipping, that is my way to shop.
There is a brand new challenge up at the CMC Copic Challenge Group .
Your challenge this time is all about
**Non-Traditional Holiday Colors**color ANY image ANY way you like
but there CAN BE NO RED-GREEN HOLIDAY COLORS USED, WE WANT TO SEE NON-TRADITIONAL COLORS USED in the image somewhere!!
We want to see you use YOUR COPICS, ProMarkers, other alcohol markers or Colored Pencils!!
Our Challenger sponsor is Digi My World and I used this cute little Winter Blues Digi.  The paper is form Bo Bunny Blitzin Collection and I finally got to use my Christmas Bulbs Die Cut from C.C. Designs. I cut them out with 2 colors and then added a little Diamond Stickles to the blue bulbs. For the record I did not use Red, it is actually rust colors (E18,E19)but it did not photograph that way.

Monster Fun and Bright Colors at CMC

Hi!! I think this may have been the longest I have gone without a post.  I had to take a little break because life has been a crazy adventure lately.  My middle girl Riley who is often my guest designer broke her foot.  She is an amazing little trooper and always in good spirits which can be hard when you are 6 years old and unable to do much. Then this week my laptop's hard drive decided to crash.    It makes me very upset because it was only a year and half old and the one time I don't get the extended warranty...aaarrrggghh!!!  Luckily, I think we got everything backed up*fingers crossed* and I am getting use to my new one. It is going to take awhile to get everything loaded and back but I am thankful my hubby was able to get me a new one. Enough of all that for now, I have more to share but I will save that for next time.
Today there s a new challenge up at the Color Me Creative Classroom and it is all about using bright fun colors.
 CMC Copic Challenge
#53 Use Bright Fun Colors
Challenge runs Until October 12th
We want to see you use YOUR COPICS, ProMarkers, other alcohol markers or Colored Pencils!!
Our sponsor is Susana's Custom Art and Card Design and the design team got the chance to use these fun little monster stamps and this one is called Monster Mash.
I felt like making a little door hanger along with my favorite bright lime and pink/melon color combo.  This color of green just screamed monster to me.  I tried to give her a little bit of a textured look and then added a dotted background to carry on the circle theme.
 Copics
YG25, YG23, YG00/RV14, RV13, RV10
Challenges
(I hope a door hanger is ok)
Don't forget to stop by and see what the rest of the CMC design team has created this week.
Have a great weekend I will be back soon to share a few new projects with you that I haven't had time to post.
