Great News From All That Scraps

I am so very excited to tell you that  All That Scraps has announced their latest Design Teams and I am so honored to be one of the members of the ATS Digi Design Team.  I am going to be working with some very talented ladies and can't wait to get started.  I have mentioned before how much I love C.C. Design stamps and ATS so this means so much to be able to create for them.

Nora is one of the adorable Swiss Pixies from C.C. Designs and I paired her with the Sugarplums Winter Tree also from C.C. Designs you can find them both at All That Scraps by clicking on the links.  After trying several DP papers I decided to go with a simple design and let the image take center stage.

The images were colored with Copics.  I then sponged the background with CTMH Ink in Twilight and added the snow flakes with Crystal Stickles.  I applied Liquid Applique and used my heat gun to give the appearance of snow.   I also embossed the center white panel with the SU Sizzix Eyelet plate but it is hard to see in the photo.

I am going to enter this card in the Sunday's With Crissy challenge which is simply to create a Christmas Card.

I don't know about you but for me it is always more difficult to come up with "manly" or "boyish" cards and gifts.  This week at the ATS Weekly Wednesday Challenge the challenge is to make Anything But a Card which was the perfect chance for me to get out of my comfort zone and also make something that my son can keep his treasures in.

I  used Pink Cat Studio Sporty Billy and you can find it here.  This is a cute set for those sporty boys in your life.  I colored him with my Copics on  Cryogen White (I love this paper for Copics).  The box is Taylored Expressions Perfect Package Small and you can find it here

I used the Paper Shapers Star Punch and embossed the edges with Stamp N Stuff  Marcasite doubled them up with dimensional.  I also stamped the soccer ball twice and gave it a coat of Glossy Accents.  I free handed the pendant and printed the font on the computer.  I made the pole out of a toothpick and colored it with a Sharpie.

Dazzled By Edward

Happy TGIF to everyone!!  Today I have a card to show you that is near and dear to my heart since I am huge Twilight Fan.  I entered this one in the Club Anya And Friends Monday Mania Challenge which is to make a card  inspired by a book.

Flirty Edward

Flirty Edward is from The Greeting Farm this one was a limited addition Digi but you can now get it in rubber in their Roll Call Kit  HERE, it has a couple of other Twilight inspired characters along with some other cuties.  Unfortunatly his skin color photographed darker than it actually is, I guess I should have gone a shade lighter, oh well.

Edward would not be complete without shimmer so I added Candle Light Shimmerz, you can see it a little better in this shot.  I distressed all of the edges of the paper to go along with the "old" feel and then added the crystals which also have a grayish tent to go along with the theme.

This quote is one of my favorites from the book and I just printed it on the computer, I then distressed the edges and used Momento Tuxedo Black to bring it together.  I have to say I am really happy with the way this card came out.

Details
Stamps-  The Greeting Farm Flirty Edward, Computer Generated Quote
Paper- Paper Studio Black & Cream Damask, Glitz Design Distressed Couture/ SU Black CS, Bazzill Red but I don't know the color name, TE Buttercream
Ink- Memento Tuxedo Black
Spellbinders- Nestabilities Large Deckled Rectangles
Accessories- Prima Say It With Pearls -Swirls Black, Say It With Crystals- Swirls Black Diamond, Shimmerz Candle Light, Distress Edge Tool

Fragile Beauty

Can you believe it is already Thursday? I don't know about you but my week has flown by not to mention how fast the summer is going by.  I am so thankful we have had a mild summer here in South Texas, even occasional rain.  Not to say it isn't hot but very tolerable.  Enough chatter onto the fun stuff, stamping!!

Fragile Beauty

This pretty stamp is from Sugar Nellie and it is called Fragile Beauty and  you can find it here.  I kept the card pretty simple with just a few details.  She was colored with Copics on Taylored Expressions Choice Buttercream Cardstock and then I added just a touch of Crystal Stickles on the butterflies; yes it's true I really love my Stickles.  The paper is K&Company Wild Saffron along with Stampin Up Cardstock In Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip.  The butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart and the Birthday Sentiment is an old SU set Warmest Regards.

Have a wonderful day and please come back tomorrow I will have a card that "Dazzles" to show you.

TE Blast From The Past Blog Hop

Welcome to one of the stops on the Taylored Expressions Blast From The Past Blog Hop!! You are going to love looking at all of the great creations that everyone has made using stamps from Taylored Expressions released before April of this year.

I used Beary Special and Beary Special Accessories from the Whimsical Wishes Line to make my card today. I love how versatile this set is. You can use it for Birthdays, Babies, Get Well and so much more.

I stamped and colored all of the images twice so that I could pop them up to give them some dimension. I also pieced the Bear's paw over the string to make it look like he was really holding the balloons.
The balloons got a coat of Glossy Accents and I used Liquid Applique on the top of his hat to give it some pop. I had so much fun making this card with all of the bright colors and fun accessories.

Recipe
Stamps- Taylored Expressions Beary Special, Beary Special Accessories
Paper- The Paper Studio Birthday Extravaganza Glitter, TPS Textured Cardstock Dark, Taylored Expressions Choice Cardstock Buttercream

SB Nestabilities- Large Circles and Large Scallop Circles

Now it is time to continue on with the Blog Hop, have fun. And I hope to see you again soon.

Ballerina Bling/ CLP Sketch Challenge #27

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I actually got a few craft projects done but it wasn't easy. "You Got Ink Where" you ask? Well, since I tried to craft during the day with my 2 girls I can say from our wrists all the way up to our elbows..ugh what a mess but they had fun. Needless to say I had to stay up until 3:00 am to have peaceful crafting time.

Today's card is one I made for the CLP Challenge Blog using the following sketch.

What a great sketch to work with it really challenged me to get all of the elements on my card and still make it look good ( I hope I succeed). I was totally inspired by my 4 year old. She just started Ballet and has this great black and pink outfit. The stamp I used is from Magnolia- Ballerina Tilda. I am new to Magnolia stamps and just think they are adorable you can find them here at All That Scraps or here at Magnolia-Licious.

I tried something new and used double sided sticky tape and gathered the ribbon to make the ruffle detail, just make sure you use a really good brand so it holds.

Ivy Ketto

Happy Wednesday!!! The week is half way over and none to soon here. We have had 3 days of Doctor and Dentist appointments which is never much fun with 3 kiddos especially not for them. We are going to have to do something more exciting the next few days to make up for it. Who knows what though??

Today I have a Easel Card that I made a while back. This type of card is great especially when you have little girls that love to display their cards. I added a link to a tutorial on SCS. I started by Stamping Ivy Ketto from Stamping Bella in Momento Tuxedo Black and she was colored with my Copics. I will start listing Copic colors when I start getting requests. The back ground is CTMH Ink in Twilight blended with a sponge dauber.

I cut out the circles with my beloved Spellbinders Circle and Blossom Nestabilites. The swirls behind the flower is Sizzix Scribbles Swirls and the flowers are a mix of Primas. I used a little bit of Diamond Stickles in her hair but it is hard to see in the picture. Finally, the designer paper is from My Minds Eye "Home" Glitter Pad. I love the colors in this paper so don't be surprised if you see it again. Oh, and I almost forgot the cardstock is SU Rose Red and Baja Breeze.

I have a few challenges I need to work on this evening so hopefully I will have another post in a couple of days.

Have a beautiful day and get crafting!!

ATS Weekly Wednesday Challenge

Welcome to my first post. There will be a lot for me to learn and it will be a challenge to get a card posted without too many special marks from my little helpers. There are so many talented stampers out there who I have admired for the past year and I am so happy to start sharing my creations. Now I may be talking to myself for a while but with being home with three little ones all day, I don't think that is too crazy, right?

I have been stamping for about a year and half and I am by no means an expert but I love trying new things and love talking about all things crafty. So I hope you will check in with me often.

My card today is for the All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge. All That Scraps is one of my favorite places to buy stamps. They have the cutest stamps and I always get my orders so quickly, love them. That being said my current favorite stamps are the the new mermaid line they carry by Sweet November Stamps this one is called Pearl Tidepool & Seamoor I think she is so pretty.

I started by coloring her with my Copic markers and water colored the background with SU inks in Tempting Turquoise and Gable Green. I embossed her tail with Ranger Halographic Powder to try and enhance the look of scales.

Every mermaid needs some bling so I added Taylored Expressions Tiny Twinkles in her hair and used Stickels in Crystal to give her some shine. The card stock is SU black and the patterned paper is DCWV All Dressed Up.

Have a wonderful day and I hope to see you soon.
