I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  I have been up late a  lot this week with crafting deadlines and a sick baby so I apologize but this is going to be a fast post.  I do want to say thank you for all of the nice comments and I will be visiting everyone's blogs as soon as I can.  If you would like more details just leave a comment and I can get back to you. I have to say, I am really happy with the way this card turned out.  I love this adorable new digi from Wee Stamps- Spring Bringer and the colors on the paper just seemed perfect for her. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley Inspirational Sentiments.  This sketch is a great one and I hope you will play a long with us at The Sweet Stop this week.

Sweet Peeks Day 5 Tiny Yawns

Happy Friday to everyone!! Today I have another Sweet Peek for you from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I used this cute set called Tiny Yawns to create this door hanger. This set and all of the others will be available May 1st and I know you are going to love them.

I found this wooden frame at Hobby Lobby painted it with Acrylics added felt clouds that I cut by hand and then doubled up the image for dimension.  The paper is from K & Company and the ribbon is from the craft store.  There you have it... an easy and special baby gift.

There are more peeks over at The Sweet 'n Sassy Blog so please stop by and get inspired by the rest of the talented design team.  I will see you again tomorrow with another  great sketch from The Sweet Stop.

Today I am featuring one of the new May stamp sets called Shining Light.  I LOVE this set!! It is a must have for Father's Day and birthdays it is filled with great sentiments and endless possibilities.  I have wanted to do a "torn" card for so long and I found this great tutorial & example here .  It is very easy to do basically start  a hole in the middle of each layer and then rip the paper diagonally towards the corners and then fold them back.  I used hot glue to give a strong hold.

His Timing is Perfect and The Sweet Stop Sketch 104

Happy Saturday to everyone!! I am sorry I haven't had anything to share this week but I have had a couple of sick kids and a super busy week with school home work and projects. I did manage to get my card done for The Sweet Stop Sketch.  This week there is a spin, Winged Things which also means a prize to be won I love this sketch and I must say, I am pretty happy with my card as well.  The style is different for me but it has one of my favorite things, butterflies.  I have been waiting for the right project to use this paper from DCWV Mariposa stack.  I bet I took 50 photos and couldn't get the back layer to show up well, it is so much prettier in person.  I used this fabulous digi set from Sweet 'n Sassy called New Creature and you can find it HERE.

I colored the butterflies twice to make them look more realistic and give some dimension.  The edges were distressed and I then added Walnut Stain Distress Ink over them. The punch is from EK success and the leaf branch and circles are from Recollections.
Copics

The Sweet Stop Sketch 103

Hello friends!!  I made this card in honor of my baby boy Sawyer...ok not so much of a baby anymore but when I saw this stamp it so reminded me of him (see the picture below).  I couldn't resist any longer and I had to get some Lili of the Valley stamps this one is called Hanging Around and the sentiment is from the Boy Oh Boy set. I am totally into making clouds these days, he had to have a sky to fly in.  This weeks Sweet Stop Sketch worked out perfectly with the papers which I have had forever and have no idea what they are (who knew I would need to know these things before I started a blog?)
