Happy New Year and Some "Sweet" News

Happy New Year my crafting friends!! I hope 2011 is a blessed year for everyone.  I am so excited to tell you that I am an official Sugar Baby for The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge Blog.   I am always using and playing along with Korin's wonderful sketches and I can't wait to share my cards with you.  Korin not only comes up with awesome sketches but her Sweet and Sassy stamp line is so cute.  This is also a wonderful way for me to start using my neglected rubber stamps, which is going to be one of my New Year's resolution.  Here is my first card using sketch SSS89.

This stamp is by Penny Johnson called Bird and Bear.  I was getting tired of snowflakes so I decided to do something a little springy.  The paper is Basic Grey's Koshi, the flower is Sizzix and the flourish I made with my new Christmas present a Cricut ,woohoo!! I colored everything with Copics and added a little Crystal Stickles. I am going to try and be better about keeping up with Copic colors and maybe start listing them again.

I hope that you will join us for the sketch challenge and stop by and meet the new Sugar Babes, what a talented group of ladies.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Good-Bye and Ringing in the New Year

It is so hard to believe that the year has come to an end, every year seems to go by faster and faster. I want to first take a minute to thank all of my followers and visitors.  All of your comments make me smile and I look forward to visiting your blogs and sharing all things crafty.  It has been a fast and furious 6 months since my first post and with it came the honor of being on my first design teams.  That being said it is time to say good bye to the Claudia & Company Digi Team as my term has come to an end. Claudia is such a wonderful lady and I thank her for the opportunity, it has been a pleasure to work with her and the rest of the design team.  Die Cuts R Us Officially changes to Claudia & Company on January first so please visit the store HERE.

Winter Ella
As a farewell I used Winter Ella Puddle Jumper by Lori Boyd which is now available in digi format.  The paper is from My Minds Eye Breaking Out collection .  I used a mix of Flower Soft polar white and Martha Stewart glitter for the snow. The silver snowflakes are by Jolee's Boutique.

I hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve please be safe and I will see you again on New Year's Day for an exciting post, well at least I think it will be :)

Baby's First Christmas

I have discovered I am really bad with crafting in the month of December.  I hope everyone is doing well with their last minute holiday preparations, it is amazing how quickly it sneaks up.  Thanks again to all of you who left such nice comments along the ATS Digi blog hop.  Riley was over the moon when I would read her the comments about her treat box :) So excited in fact that she insisted I post another creation (see below).
Since I am running behind my card today is for my Claudia & Company Digi post from last week, better late than never they say.
This is Baby Jussie Lollipop by Lori Boyd and you can find it at Die Cuts R Us which will be changing it's name to Claudia and Company on January 1st.  While me and Riley were working on our cards today she said I quote "Christmas has to have bling.".  It cracked me up, where do they come up with these things? I must say she is right so you can see I added lots of Silver and Crystal Stickles all over my layers.

Baby's First Christmas
This wonderful sketch is from The Sweet Stop SSS86 and there is still plenty of time for you to enter.
The snowflakes that I used for the scallop element is a Martha Stewart punch and I made the candy cane out of wired ribbon.
 Challenges
The Sweet Stop- Sketch  SSS86

I'm Back with Ella

I can't believe it has been so long since I posted.  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving for those who celebrate.  We went on a an 8 day road trip, (crazy I know) but we had a great time visiting family and friends. We did learn that my kids hate to travel in the dark "it's boring", Boring??? Kids have DVD players electronic games so much to entertain themselves they have no idea how lucky they are.  I have been peeking at blogs but have had little time to comment so I will definitely be doing that soon.

**Thursday is Digi Creation Day at Claudia and Company HERE.
** You can now get Lori Boyd's Puddle Jumpers in Digis  at Die Cuts R Us.

Today I made a pretty simple card with one of my favorite Puddle Jumpers Ella with Doll from Claudia and Company.  I love the colors in this paper by Crate Paper's Restoration and I got it in the 6x6 pack at Die Cuts R Us right HERE. The sentiment is from Paper Make Up  (they have some really nice sentiment stamps BTW).  Ella was colored with Copics and the shading was done with Prisma pencils.
I hope you all have a wonderful day.  I have a lot of projects to get done for the upcoming week and some more to come.

Today you can get three new adorable Honey's right HERE.  My card Features the newly released C.C. Designs Scarf Honey, I just love her!!  I think I say that a lot about the Honeys but seriously they are too cute.

I am really happy with the way this card turned out  not only is the image great but these papers, S.E.I. Moonrise are so pretty with the iridescent shine.  I found the ribbon at my local Hobby Lobby and it matched perfect, woo hoo!! Honey was colored with Copics and the background was done with Prisma Pencils. This is something new I am playing with maybe sometime I might even venture out and try distress inks:)  I think that is about it, I hope you enjoyed my creation.
 Challenge
My Partner In Crafting Crime- Marker Madness ( I hope it is OK that I used pencils on the background:)
Have a wonderful weekend preparing for the up coming holiday and I hope you find time to craft.

Cool Honey

Can you believe Thanksgiving is a week from today? Where does time go? It seems like every month goes by faster and faster.  This time of year is especially busy for us a side from the normal holidays my kids each have a birthday end of November, December and January, it makes the gift giving really hard buying for Christmas and Birthdays at the same time.  I guess we did not plan those due dates out well at all, LOL.
Stamp Stuff

Puddle Jumpers and Exciting News

I hope everyone had a good weekend.  Mine was good and somewhat restful.  It was the first Saturday we did not have to get up early and go to a soccer game. I love watching my son play but towards the end of the season he gets so whiny about going if you know what I mean.  I also got some Christmas shopping done. I was shocked how busy the stores are already getting, I guess people are shopping early.

On to the exciting news... several of the fabulous Lori Boyd's Puddle Jumpers are now available as Digital stamps at  Die Cuts R Us.  Why digis you ask? Well, not only do they save space but you can't beat the cost savings not to mention how great it is to be able to re-size the image to fit your needs.  Please visit the Claudia and Company Blog to see some more adorable Puddle Jumper creations.

I realized when making this card, I don't make near enough boy cards.  I have to get better about that it would be nice to have a stash for birthday parties that come up.  Today I used Sammy in digi format and you can find him and the other Puddle Jumpers HERE.

I used this weeks sketch from The Sweet Shop SSS82 which worked out really well if I do say so myself.  This week is going to be a very busy week around here so you will be seeing a few more posts from me and I hope to find some more time to visit your blogs as well..  Have a wonderful week!!

Joy Snowman

I just want to say THANK YOU!! for all those who stopped by and left such nice comments during the Claudia & Company Blog Hop.  I enjoyed reading them and working my way to your blogs as well.
Even though the hop was just a few short days ago, Claudia has already released a new digital stamp called Joy Snowman by Jane's Doodle's.  Isn't he a cutie?  I have to apologize for the horrible picture the colors are really bad. I try to take my pictures outside for best lighting but when you don't finish them until after dark, you get this.  I really need to get a light box but I always get over whelemed with what to get when I start looking.
Joy Snowman

I used some of my favorite new papers Bo Bunny Winter Joy  .The snowman was colored in Copics along with Prisma pencils for the background.  I used this weeks sketch from Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #133 and for once I didn't layer but I did distress the edges and added Stickles to them.  Please visit the  Claudia & Company Blog to see some more Digi Design Team Creations from the wonderful team.

Have a wonderful day and with a little luck I will have another post soon.

Gingerbread House
For my easel card I used the brand new Gingerbread House Digi  by Jane's Doodles This is is such a cute and versatile image and I had so much fun making this card with my little girl:)  I can say this is the first card I completed in the daylight hours with 2 extra sets of hands, woohoo.

Since it is a Gingerbread House I used a lot of glossy accents and White Sugar Coating glitter.  The papers are a mix of Stampin Up and Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly.  I doubled up the image to give it some depth and you can see the glitter of the snow a little better in this picture. The extra candies are from Jolee's Boutique and everything was colored in Copics.

Just a quick review of the other two digis now available at Die Cuts R Us.

Wrapped With Love

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around blog land and I am way behind as always:)  Today I have a special preview for you from Claudia & Company .  I used this super versatile digi set by Maree Truelove called Wreath Set and it will be available on November 5th at Die Cuts R Us.

I made my Gable Box using THIS  tutorial on SCS, it was super easy and it ended up being much larger than I thought it would be.  This Mini Wreath Set  comes with the wreath and two holly options.  I printed the wreath twice and did some paper piecing .  I LOVE this paper from The Girls' Paperie called Tinsel & Twigs and you can find it right HERE in a 6x6 sampler pack(love these).  The pine branch punch is from Martha Stewart , I added a little Diamond Stickles to the branches  and tag along with glossy accents to my berries.  The sentiment is from C.C. Designs -Amy R  Stamps Autumn Sentiments.  My son has already claimed this box for his teacher so it looks like I will be making a few more:)

Honey for a Cure

This Honey is actually called Honey Cheerleader by C.C. Designs but for my card I wanted her to cheer for a Cure.  First things first,  today is the release of 3 new Honeys over at All That Scraps, these are just too cute not to get them all.
I dedicate this card to all of the breast cancer survivors including my mom who had a double Mastectomy when she was only 42 years old.  Praise to God and good doctors because of early detection she has been cancer free for over 13 years now.  I just heard a ridiculous news report the other day that they are recommending women wait until they are 50 to get mammograms instead of 40, insane!!  Please DO NOT WAIT early detection saves lives.  Due to my mom's history, last year at age 35 my doctor is now having me get my yearly mammogram to be safe.  Please take care of the Ta- Tas!!

Now on to my card I kept the lay out simple making this super cute cheerleader and the ribbon the main focus.  The paper is by Moxxie Fighting Back.  I added some Diamond Stickles to her pompoms and the sentiment was inspired by a tee shirt I saw and she was colored with Copics.
I am going to enter her in the Totally Gorjuss Challenge # 52 Pink
Have a wonderful weekend!!

A Day for Honey

This is my second post today, I know shocking.  Today I have 2 cards to share with you using the the brand new Honey Digis by C. C. Designs available tomorrow at All That Scraps.  Christine has created 3 adorable images Skier Honey,  Angel Honey and Cheerleader Honey.

For this first card I made a double pocket card and used Skier Honey.  I love the colors in this paper from Bo Bunny called Winter Joy.  The sentiment is from Paper Pretties Snowflake Kisses and the punch is from EK Success.  I used Polar White Flower Soft  for the ground and a few soft flakes on  Honey's face.
For my next card I used Angel Honey and just kept it pretty simple with the lay out, I thought with this paper (Maya Patchwork) it didn't need much .  I would like to note that the ribbon  matches much better in real life:)

That is is it for today, I need a nap ( I wish) too many late nights.  Please go visit the ATS Blog and see the Digi Teams wonderful creations and don't forget to stop back tomorrow for a special post and release day.
Please scroll down to see my post for Claudia & Co.

Tea Party

Hi everyone, so sorry I disappeared this week.  I haven't been slacking I promise. Here is the first of four projects I have to show you and I apologize for the photography,  I just took the picture and the moon just wasn't bright enough to show the true colors.

Thursdays are Digi Creation Day at Claudia and Company so today I wanted to share with you a set called Claudia & Company Tea Party Set that was just released as a digi at Die Cuts R Us.  This is such a cute set that can be used so many ways and with the digi you can size it to fit your needs like I did.

Just a few details to share since I am about to fall asleep and probably won't make any sense once I read this in the morning.  The paper is My Minds Eye Quite Contrary/Little Miss Muffet Collection.  One of the greatest things in my opinion is buying the 6x6 Paper Samplers that Claudia offers HERE.  I just got my second big order and it gives you so many options for paper and you can't beat the prices.  I used an old layout from Taylored Expressions she has wonderful sketches BTW.

Please stop back by later today because I have another preview to show you.  Have a blessed day!!

Lost In Wonderland

I have a new Digi  image to share with you today by Chubby Pencil this cute Little Bunny is from C.C. Designs and you can get it HERE at All That Scraps tomorrow October 15th.  I haven't had the chance to work with animals lately so I had so much fun with this one.  Alice in Wonderland has been very popular around my house lately so I decided to take my card in the darker movie direction.
Please don't adjust your eyes, everything is turned to represent falling down the rabbit hole:)

The papers are from My Minds Eye Breaking Free Collection and I used an old Close To My Heart set called Make It Count to stamp the numbers and create the clock.  Everything was distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Inks and the rabbit was colored with Copics.

The talented ATS Digi Team has some GREAT projects to share with you on the All That Scrap Blog so please stop by and take a look..  Enjoy the rest of your day.

Bubbles and Bling

Update- My card made the Top Three at My Partner in Crafting Crime, yippee!!

I hope everyone is having a good day.  I have a card to share with you today that I made just because.  I have so many stamps that I just don't seem to have time to use, so one way or another I am going to let them see some ink.

Today I used Magnolia's Bubbling Tilda along with the sentiment from Paper Makeup which worked out perfectly. The sketch is from this Month's CLP #30 Challenge however, I did flip my sentiment and bling to opposite sides.  I am also entering it in a few other challenges listed below.  I love the flower brad that I found from Spare Parts, I was so excited to be able to use it.
Challenges
CLP #30- Sketch
Color Me Copic- Coloring Clothes
Flutter By Wednesday #125- Anything Goes with Wings that is.
My Partner in Crafting Crime#13-Sparkle & Shine

I am sorry this is so short but I have a deadline tomorrow so I have to get back to crafting.  Thank you to all of those who follow me and leave such nice comments and thanks to everyone for stopping by to visit.

Honey the Witch

We made it to another Friday, yippee!!  It was another crazy week as you can see from my lack of commenting and posting and for that I am sorry. No big plans this weekend or at least I hope not, we could use a calm one for a change.  I really want to go see that movie "Life As We Know It" hopefully before it goes to DVD.

I have a really cute Digi  to show you from C.C. Designs available now at All That Scraps .  This is Honey the Witch created by Christine Wooden, isn't she adorable?  I just love the little kitty hiding behind her and the spider dangling from her hat.

My little treat box is decorated with Basic Grey's Eerie papers and SU card stock. Behind Honey I used the Halloween Scene (rubber) but it is also available as a digi. Once again I was able to use Autumn Sentiments from Amy R. Stamps.  The edges got a coat of orange Stickles and the fun ribbon is from the Recollections.

Don't forget to stop by the ATS Blog to get some more great ideas from the Digi Team. There is only about a week or so left to get your Christmas Sugarplums kit and you can find it here.  One thing I have always loved about ATS aside from the great stamps is their wonderful shipping rates, they are the best so I never hesitate to order.  That is enough chatter from me, get out and enjoy your weekend:)
