The Sweet Stop 175 Holly Wishes

How is everyone today? I am getting so tired of the 100 degree weather I decided I could at least dream of cooler temperatures by getting started on my Christmas cards. I just couldn't resist this sweet little fairy called Holly from Wee Stamps. I just love coloring these cute little faces, they just make me happy.   To start my card I used the latest sketch from The Sweet Stop SSS175.
I just love this paper from Echo Park called Season''s Greetings.  The holly embossing folder is from Sizzix  and both punches are by Martha Stewart.  I added a little Star Dust Stickles to the snow and wings.

The Sweet Stop Sketch 174 -Howdy Cowgirl

Hi everyone!! What a crazy 24 hours it has been for my little blog. For those who don't know my blog was removed for some unknown reason and I had to go through the process of getting Google to approve to put it back online. Scary to say the least especially since I didn't have it backed up. It was one of those things I needed to find out how to do but kept putting it off. Lesson learned I tell ya.  Thank you to all of you who kept my spirits up when I thought it was lost forever:)
While I was in a panic there was a new The Sweet Stop Sketch  SSS174 that started today and here is what I came up with.
I made this to add to my Wryn  photo tray, which BTW I found a great easel stand to hold it when I went to Archivers in Austin.  I choose this image called Howdy Cowgirl Wryn by Tiddly Inks because she reminded me of Riley's field trip to the Rodeo where she wore none other than a pink cowgirl hat.
I made these little flowers out of some twine I had.  I started looping the twine I assume something I did making friendship bracelets in Jr. High and then rolled it into a circle and secured it with hot glue.  I added a couple of loops for leaves and a gem for the center.

Yes I did rotate the sketch:)

Notebook Cover-The Sweet Stop Sketch 171

Happy Sweet Stop Saturday my friends!!  Another week has come and gone way to quickly.  We took another trip to Austin today but his time to stop by Ikea.  My kids love going there and playing in the kids area while we shop, it was on their "summer to do" list.  So funny I take them to children's musems and places all summer and they just want to go to Ikea, granted I think this trip cost me more than  any of the others LOL.
Anyway, as I said it is The Sweet Stop Saturday and we have another fabulous sketch to share with you.  The reason my card looks so big is because this is actually a special cover I made for my first graders 3 ring binder.  Riley loves mermaids, dolphins and lady bugs so we hit 2 out of three.

The background stamp is from Make It Crafty called Coral Border Digi, the mermaid is Sweet November Shimmer Rekelp and the dolphin is from the Ocean Wavedancer digi.  The swirl is from Memory Box.  The wave punch is from Fiskars and I used  circle punches and Copics to create the bubbles. Riley made sure that I knew dolphins look shiny so I added a coat of Glossy Accents and the mermaid got a coat of Crystal Stickles.

The Sweet Stop SSS170

It is hard to believe the weekend is here again. Where is the time going? That made me think maybe I should start playing with some Christmas stamps and get a jump on some cards. I have to say I am not at all happy with my card. I just couldn't pull anything together this week, not even my coloring. Oh, well it happens sometimes. The one good thing about my card is of course the awesome The Sweet Stop Sketch SSS170 .
The image is by Penny Johnson called Decorating Rudolph and the paper is some old DCWV.  I used my Copics to color it and my Bow Easy to make the bow topped off with a couple of little bells.

I hope you can join us this week and also stop by and see what the rest of the Sugar Babies have created.

The Sweet Stop Sketch 168 Blast Off

I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. Last weekend we took a trip to the beach at Corpus Christie and had a great time.  It is always nice to get away even if just for a  little bit and watching the kids always makes my heart happy.
Some how I managed to get a couple of cards done this week and even early, yeah me:)  This week we have another fabulous sketch at The Sweet Stop SSS168 to help you get started on your crafting this
weekend. Oh, and this week it is Sketch with a Spin so we want to see you use numbers somewhere on you creation that also means there is a prize to be given away along with the chance to be featured on the blog.

With the number theme in mind I started with paper from MME Lime Twist and Bazzilli card stock, love that stuff.  The image is from The Paper Shelter called  Retro Space Girl, sorry I can't help it I love coloring these.  I cut her out and glued her over my cloud dies that I meant to pop up but forgot to do...oh well.  For the die cuts I used the Jumbo Scallop Die-namics  from MFT and Clouds and Rain Drops from Sweet 'n Sassy. Her bubble helmet inspired me to add the clear drops on the scallop for a little extra touch.

The Sweet Stop 167 Bumble Bear

Hello everyone and a very Happy Saturday to you!! I hope you have a wonderful one filled with fun, relaxation and crafty time. It is time for another fabulous sketch at The Sweet Stop SS167 created by the wonderful Korin.
I have to say I kind of love my card this week, this little bear is just way too cute!! This is a digi from The Paper Shelter called Bee Bear and he just makes me smile. The Paper Shelter is also having a DT call and since I adore there stamps I thought I would give it a try:)
The paper I used is some old from my stash I think it is Basic Grey Koshi, totally guessing here. I colored him with Copics and fussy cut him out.  I have had these little bees by Recollection for a long while just waiting to use them.  I added the little swirls with my Sharpie Poster Paint Pen.

The Sweet Stop 166 Life's a Beach

I hope everyone had a wonderful week. It was a good one here filled with fireworks, family Nerf wars and a trip to Build A Bear.  Today the kids had to put up with me crafting since I had two cards due today and I just haven't had a chance to get them done.
In honor of an upcoming trip to the beach I had to pull out Wryn Beach Babe by Tiddly Inks and used it with this week's The Sweet Stop Sketch 166.  I normally color Wryn with brown hair because she reminds me of my Riley but today this paper just called for a blonde:)

The Sweet Stop 165 American Cutie

Hey everyone!! I hope everyone had a wonderful week.  We just finished up swim lessons so for awhile at least we can get back to no type of "set" schedule.  I love having my kids home but I do miss having those few hours of quite time a week to craft.  I can't even believe the 4th of July is almost here, where is the year going?
I had fun making my card for The Sweet Stop Sketch SSS165 this week.  I got a tad carried away with my layers... I can tell you I won't be mailing this card, it would cost a fortune:)
I fell in love with this image from Saturated Canary called To the Lake and thought it would make a great Americana kind of card.
I found this paper from The Paper Studio and knew the weathered deck would work perfectly with my image. The sentiment is from C.C. Designs Summer Sentiments and the  Border punch is  Die-namics Zig Zag Border. I did have to change the shape of the oval on the sketch because the size I had just did not give me enough room to color the way I like to.

The Sweet Stop 164 and Big Hair at CMC

So summer is in full swing as you can tell from my lack of posts. The kids are staying up later which makes crafting after bedtime next to impossible, it wouldn't be so bad but I have been so tired. We just finished up Vacation Bible School and I had a blast helping out in crafts. It is so fun to see the different personalities of all the kids and to be covered in paint, glue and shaving cream throughout the week.

My card today combines two new challenges the first is this week's The Sweet Stop Sketch SSS164 and a brand new Challenge at the CMC Copic Challenge Group which is a fun one, Big Hair.   Our sponsor at CMC this week is Crafts & Me and I got to use this beautiful digi called Devonnne.  Most of you that have followed me for a while know I love doing hair but this week I stepped out of my comfort zone and worked on black hair which I don't do very often.

The die cuts are from Memory Box ( I love how delicate these are) and the paper is from The Paper Studio.

The Sweet Stop Sketch 163 You Are So Handy

Happy Father's Day weekend!! I hope everyone has something special planned for those wonderful dads in our lives. The kids and me have been working all week on a few special handmade gifts, nothing over the top but cute and simple things that they could work on.  I will share them with you later.
After taking a couple of weeks off at The Sweet Stop I am back:) Perfect time to get a card made for the hubby, truthfully it was suppose to be for my dad but it looks nothing like him and since he doesn't have much hair left it might insult him LOL... I can hear it now.
This week it is Sketch with a Spin so we want to see you add texture to your creations and you could win a great set from Sweet 'n Sassy.

I absolutely love this embossing folder from The Paper Studio the wood grain is so perfect for those manly cards.  The paper is from one of my all time favorites MME Stella Rose.  The stamp set is from Taylored Expressions called Moka Tim.

The rest of the Sugar Baby girls have some wonderful inspiration for you so stop by and say "hi".

The Sweet Stop 160

If you are here for the CMC Summer Blog Hop please scroll down to the next post.
I made a birthday card for my very sweet, fun and talented friend Melissa using this week's The Sweet Stop Sketch SSS160. Melissa loves the color orange and is an amazing photographer (check her out HERE) with a fun and artistic eye so when I saw this Saturated Canary image called Krafty Kate, I knew I wanted to make it for her.
I had fun playing with this hair color totally inspired by Melissa:) and the abstract paper had a lot of colors for me to pull from .

Sorry my post is so short, it has been a crazy week with another one ahead of me.
Have a wonderful weekend!!
