The Sweet Stop Sketch 174 -Howdy Cowgirl

Hi everyone!! What a crazy 24 hours it has been for my little blog. For those who don't know my blog was removed for some unknown reason and I had to go through the process of getting Google to approve to put it back online. Scary to say the least especially since I didn't have it backed up. It was one of those things I needed to find out how to do but kept putting it off. Lesson learned I tell ya.  Thank you to all of you who kept my spirits up when I thought it was lost forever:)
While I was in a panic there was a new The Sweet Stop Sketch  SSS174 that started today and here is what I came up with.
I made this to add to my Wryn  photo tray, which BTW I found a great easel stand to hold it when I went to Archivers in Austin.  I choose this image called Howdy Cowgirl Wryn by Tiddly Inks because she reminded me of Riley's field trip to the Rodeo where she wore none other than a pink cowgirl hat.
I made these little flowers out of some twine I had.  I started looping the twine I assume something I did making friendship bracelets in Jr. High and then rolled it into a circle and secured it with hot glue.  I added a couple of loops for leaves and a gem for the center.

Yes I did rotate the sketch:)
I hope you will stop by and visit the rest of the Sugar Babies.

The Sweet Stop 166 Life's a Beach

I hope everyone had a wonderful week. It was a good one here filled with fireworks, family Nerf wars and a trip to Build A Bear.  Today the kids had to put up with me crafting since I had two cards due today and I just haven't had a chance to get them done.
In honor of an upcoming trip to the beach I had to pull out Wryn Beach Babe by Tiddly Inks and used it with this week's The Sweet Stop Sketch 166.  I normally color Wryn with brown hair because she reminds me of my Riley but today this paper just called for a blonde:)

The Sweet Stop Sketch 156

Happy Saturday!! I hope everyone has a great day and lots of fun planned. It was an interesting week with Riley coming home from school learning and spelling her first bad word the "B" word as she says.  It is so frustrating when you go eight years keeping them from being exposed to that and then poof it's gone.  Not to mention the fact that I can't believe that parents would let their Kinder girl be exposed to that.  Is it really necessary to talk like that?  I think not...sorry I had to vent a bit.

*CMC Copic Challenge Group has a new challenge starting today so hop on over and check it out. The theme this time is Celebrations. I will have another card to share with you in a day or two but you can see it there now.  Summer is a great time to take those Copic classes on line in the nice cool AC:)
*This is the last week for The Sweet Stop three year anniversary celebration so that means another gift certificate to be won from Sweet 'n Sassy.
So this week is another choose a Sweet Stop sketch from the past and I used SSS121 to work om my Wryn photo tray.  I will say one thing, I love how the tray is coming out but working on a 4x6 area is very hard to get layers and a big enough image to color detail on.

*CMC Copic Challenge Group still has a few days left of the Bright Colors Lots of Laughs challenge and you can find all of the details here.  There will be a new challenge starting Saturday.
As you may remember I am working on my Wryn Photo Tray for the CMC Copic Challenge group and here it is. I used Tiddly Inks Wryn Spring Bling along with the Prima Madeline paper (I hope it holds out to make 4 more). I have to say it is a little challenging working on a 4x6 area, not a lot of room for layers amd such.

The roses were made using MFT Dienamics Mini Rolled Roses, the swirl is from Sizzix and the Lacey Eyelet Border from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The letters are from K&Company and I added a little sparkle to the flowers Wryn is holding using the Stardust Stickles.

A Work In Progress

Hey everyone!! I wanted to share a project that is going to be an on going work for my CMC Copic Challenge Group.  I have had this 7 Gypsies photo tray since this past summer just waiting to be inspired to use it.  Well, inspiration hit me with Tiddly Inks new stamps from the Wryn and Friends collection.  This little girl totally reminds me of my crafting buddy Riley.  I have also wanted a way to keep some of my work for myself and I think this is perfect way to do that.
For my tray I am going to continue to use all Wren Images and my absolute favorite paper by Prima Madeline.  This image is called New Nest.  The die is from C.C. Designs Cutter Leafy Branch the flower punch is from Martha Stewart but I don't know the name. I used CTMH Twilight ink for the sky along with my hand cut cloud die.
