Color My World

It is hard to believe that this is the last weekend in March not to mention Easter time already.  This year is just flying by already, crazy I tell ya.  Tomorrow will be filled with dying eggs, church in the evening and always fun with the kiddos.
It is time for a new challenge at the CMC Copic Challenge Group and this is one of my favorites.
NEW CHALLENGE #65 will run thru April 12th!
 Your challenge this time is
**All About Hair**
color ANY IMAGE but it must
include HAIR of some sort
We want to see you use YOUR COPICS, ProMarkers, other alcohol markers or Colored Pencils!!
I found this customizable album from American Crafts that holds 6x6 inserts so I thought I would use it to keep my cards in that I want to keep.  This image from Saturated Canary called Color Me Wonderful seemed like it would make the perfect cover photo paired with paper in my favorite colors.
 Copics
Hair- E57, E55, E53, E50.Y26(just a touch),RV17, RV14, RV10
Skin-E11, E00, E000, R20,R22 Eyes-B01,B000
Clothes-BG02, B01, B000/YG06,YG11
I love coloring hair and I know I get in a habit of using the same old colors so for this one I decided to mix it up and add some fun pink streaks to her hair. The paper I used is Basic Grey Out of Print.  I doodled around the image using a Copic Multi Liner 0.1.
Suzanne Dean has a fabulous online class at CMC to teach you all kinds of great techniques for hair and you can get all the details HERE.

Have a great weekend and a Happy Easter!!

Party Like a Rock Star

Just wanted to pop in and share a new project and a few things with you. We are still in Birthday mode around here. We just finished my daughter's spa/ sleepover party this past weekend and yes that was the third big party since Dec 2nd. I am officially partied and decorated out. Then my brother has to go and have a birthday today and my husband on Saturday:)  Will it ever end? I am ready to relax and just craft and color for fun but only after I finish Riley's new "big girl" room make over.
You still have until Friday to enter our Favorite Color Combo Challenge at CMC Copic Challenge Group so I really hope you will join us.  We also have a Facebook Group that we would love for you to join so please come check it out here https://www.facebook.com/groups/CMCCLASSROOM/.
I am trying to get better about being more active with FB so I added a link to my page on my side bar and would love it if you would "Like" my page and help new people who love to craft find my blog too.
As I mentioned my brother just had a birthday(Happy Birthday Ty) and I have had this image from Kenny K called Groove Dude since last year and just didn't have time to make his card.  So I stepped it up a notch and made another shadow box.  My brother plays the bass  I can't tell you how much this image reminds me of him.

Bloom and Grow

Hello!! It has been a doozie of a week here with me and my littlest being sick all week long.  One thing would go away and then some other symptom would pop up.  I rarely get sick, honestly maybe once a year but I think it maybe longer. Lets face it moms can't get sick or things fall apart.
The kids are watching a movie as I type this and I can't wait for them to go to bed to catch up on some shows on the DVR and maybe sneak a bowl of ice cream.  I absolutely love to watch Hart of Dixie. I guess it is one of those guilty pleasure shows.  I love the south cute small town idea.  That is where I would like to move for sure, not good for the hubby and Architecture though.  My other favorites to watch Once Upon a Time (love their take on fairy tales) this is a must watch in my book,  Castle is another great one and Revenge.  So what are your favorite TV shows or guilty pleasures these days?
There is a new challenege up at the CMC Copic Challenge Group and it is a fun one.
Favorite Color Combos
color ANY image ANY way you like
but WE WANT TO SEE YOU USING YOUR FAVORITE COLOR COMBOS and tell us why they are your fave if you'd like too!
We want to see you use YOUR COPICS, ProMarkers, other alcohol markers or Colored Pencils!!
One lucky winner (at random) will win a
free CMC Online Class of their choice from any of Marti Will's classes (Prisma Pencil classes, Cricut or Mixed Media classes...see all of her classes in Class tab at top of site)

My favorite color combos happen to be pinks, blue greens with a touch of green.   I think they are so fresh and definitely girly.  I also used my favorite hair color combo and my all time favorite stamps Saturated Canary this one is Princess Rose Red.  I have some more birthdays coming up, my middle daughter Riley turns seven Monday so I decided this might be a nice gift for her to keep rather than a card. She is after all my biggest fan. This cute box is from 7 Gypsies and I found them at Michaels and Archivers. ( I have another version to show you soon).

Notebook Cover-The Sweet Stop Sketch 171

Happy Sweet Stop Saturday my friends!!  Another week has come and gone way to quickly.  We took another trip to Austin today but his time to stop by Ikea.  My kids love going there and playing in the kids area while we shop, it was on their "summer to do" list.  So funny I take them to children's musems and places all summer and they just want to go to Ikea, granted I think this trip cost me more than  any of the others LOL.
Anyway, as I said it is The Sweet Stop Saturday and we have another fabulous sketch to share with you.  The reason my card looks so big is because this is actually a special cover I made for my first graders 3 ring binder.  Riley loves mermaids, dolphins and lady bugs so we hit 2 out of three.

The background stamp is from Make It Crafty called Coral Border Digi, the mermaid is Sweet November Shimmer Rekelp and the dolphin is from the Ocean Wavedancer digi.  The swirl is from Memory Box.  The wave punch is from Fiskars and I used  circle punches and Copics to create the bubbles. Riley made sure that I knew dolphins look shiny so I added a coat of Glossy Accents and the mermaid got a coat of Crystal Stickles.

Wryn Photo Tray Part 2

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a good week.  It is flying by here as always, so much to do and so little time.   I have just a couple of things I wanted to remind you about.

*The day has arrived that Blogger is removing the option to "Follow" if you are not a blogger user your self.  Please sign up using the Linky Follower or email option on my side bar if you want to keep up with me, I don't want to lose you:)
*CMC Copic Challenge Group still has a few days left of the Bright Colors Lots of Laughs challenge and you can find all of the details here.  There will be a new challenge starting Saturday.
As you may remember I am working on my Wryn Photo Tray for the CMC Copic Challenge group and here it is. I used Tiddly Inks Wryn Spring Bling along with the Prima Madeline paper (I hope it holds out to make 4 more). I have to say it is a little challenging working on a 4x6 area, not a lot of room for layers amd such.

The roses were made using MFT Dienamics Mini Rolled Roses, the swirl is from Sizzix and the Lacey Eyelet Border from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The letters are from K&Company and I added a little sparkle to the flowers Wryn is holding using the Stardust Stickles.

Bath Treat

Hello peeps!! I meant to post this the other day but my mind isn't what it use to be. I blame the 3 kids sucking all of my brain cells out because I have found out they are too smart for their own good:)  Oh well better late than never I always say.
So I made these little babies for teacher's gifts for Valentine's Day.  I found the original idea on Pintrest and HERE is the link(side note: I went to Pintrest to link and just wasted 40 mins..LOL).  I tweaked mine a bit though.  I found this fun float cup at Hobby Lobby and used the light pink plastic party favor bag to hold these yummy smelling bath salts from Target.  I closed it up good folded the bag over the cup and taped on the scrubbie.  I couldn't find any bath oil beads so I just made a cherry on top with paper.  I came up with my own little verse to attach to the float.  Now I could have gotten fancier with them and next time I probably will but I did 4 of these in 45 minutes start to finish., yep that is how I do things:)

*Don't forget about the latest CMC Copic Challenge Bright Colors and Laughs.
That is it for now, I have lots of crafting to do tomorrow.  Have a great one!!

Feel Better Soup

Happy weekend!! I can't believe it is Friday already boy time flies when you are busy.  This week the All That Scrap Digi team is using some of our favorite digis to create anything but a card.  We have a very special lady that works in the office at school who had surgery this week so I made her some Get Well Chicken Noddle Soup, which is very tasty by the way.  I used C.C. Designs Nurse Nora which happens to be my favorite get well image, she is just so sweet.  The sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy Poppies & Greetings.
I found this cute food safe jar(it said that on the tag;) at Hobby Lobby.  My circle Nestabilities worked perfectly for the top of the jar.  I typed up the recipe instructions and placed the image behind the words for a little interest, love digis!!
Here are the ingredients that go in the jar.
Chicken Noodle Soup In a Jar
1 Pkg (2.75oz) Pioneer Brand Country Gravy Mix
2 TBSP Chicken Bullion Granules
2 TBSP Dried Minced Onion
2 TBSP Dried Celery Flakes
2 TBSP Dried Parsley Flakes
3 Cups Uncooked Wide Egg Noodles
Pour Gravy Mix into wide mouth Quart Jar.  In a bowl combine Bouillon, onion, celery and parsley. Pour into jar to make the second layer and then add the noodles on top.  I included 1 10oz Can of White Cooked Chopped Chicken so it is ready to go. Some crackers would be nice too.
And this is what I put on the recipe card:
Feel Better Chicken Noodle Soup in a Jar
Empty contents of the jar into a 4 quart saucepan.  Add 8 cups of water; heat to boiling on high.  Reduce heat to medium; add (1) 10-ounce or (2) 6-ounce cans cooked and chopped chicken.  Cover and simmer for 5-6 minutes or until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
Makes 8 Servings.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

A Work In Progress

Hey everyone!! I wanted to share a project that is going to be an on going work for my CMC Copic Challenge Group.  I have had this 7 Gypsies photo tray since this past summer just waiting to be inspired to use it.  Well, inspiration hit me with Tiddly Inks new stamps from the Wryn and Friends collection.  This little girl totally reminds me of my crafting buddy Riley.  I have also wanted a way to keep some of my work for myself and I think this is perfect way to do that.
For my tray I am going to continue to use all Wren Images and my absolute favorite paper by Prima Madeline.  This image is called New Nest.  The die is from C.C. Designs Cutter Leafy Branch the flower punch is from Martha Stewart but I don't know the name. I used CTMH Twilight ink for the sky along with my hand cut cloud die.

Merry Christmas Digis at ATS

Hi friends!!  The All That Scraps Digi Team a has made some more gorgeous creations to share with you this week.  We are reviewing some of last years Sugar Plum Digis by C.C. Designs but remember they are also available in rubber too.

My poor altered note book went through a lot of changes, I just couldn't get it to where I was happy with it and still not sure.... but one thing is for sure this Santa Emma and Presents are too cute!!
As I said this is an altered note book that I thought I would use for all of my holiday lists.  The note book I got at Michael's in the dollar section.  I used the Martha Stewart Holly punch to cut out the vellum leaves.  I placed Emma on top of a vellum panel and used to Liquid Applique with a heat gun for the fur trim.

Enjoy the rest of the week and I will see you on Saturday:)

Hello and welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Birthday Blog Hop!  Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is so excited to be celebrating four wonderful years! I am so happy to be apart of this celebration.   A fantastic group of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps design team members past and present, along with some special friends, have put together this fabulous Birthday Blog Hop to kick off a whole month of fun. We have 37 stops so the hop will take place over three days - feel free to take your time visiting each blog!  You have until 11:59pm EST November 9th to leave comments on as many blogs as you can.  On Saturday, November 12th Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps will announce FOUR winners (chosen at random from comments on random stops along the hop); each lucky winner will receive a prize pack including stamps, dies, paper & twine valued at $40!

Cardinal Blessings

I decided to make something a little different to show you how versatile Sweet 'n Sassy stamps can be.  I used the Cardinal Digi so that I could size him to fit my wreath but it is also available in a great clear set. I colored the image with Copics and did a second set of wings so that I could pop it up to give dimension.  The Flowers are from the Your Friendship Set and I just stamped, layered and added some silver Stickles to edges.  The Swirls are all from Sizzix and the Pine Branch Punch from Martha Stewart is my favorite tool this time of year.  The sentiment is from the new Sweet 'n Sassy Christmas Tags (love this set).
Here is a close up of the way I colored the feathers and added Polar White Flower Soft to create a snowy look on the branches.
