The Sweet Stop SKetch 144

It's Saturday, yippee!! This week flew by for me, I can't believe it is February already.  I am going to have to make this post a fast one.  It is storming here and I am afraid of losing the internet connection. Here is my card for this weeks The Sweet Stop Sketch.  I don't know how Korin comes up with all of these great sketches every week but I am so glad she does.
This cute image is an old Sugar Nellie Stamp called Daisy and the paper is from the new spring collection from K and Company (love it!!).  The sentiment is from Sweet n' Sassy Poppies & Greetings.

My Favorite Eleven Projects for 2011 Part One

It was such a great year for me and I am so thankful that I got to be part of such wonderful Design Teams such as The Sweet Stop, Sweet 'n Sassy, All That Scraps Digi Team, My Partner In Crafting Crime, By Lori Designs and CMC Copic Challenge Group.  I thought it would be fun to do a year in review on things I made over the past year.  For the most part I picked something from each month.  I would love it if you would join me in this little adventure on your blogs. The post might get a little long so I am going to break it into 2 days so here it goes. Click on the links to take you to the original posts with all of the details.
Geisha Girl from C.C. Designs
The design is simple but this was really my first attempt at black hair that I was really happy with and this is just about the cutest digi.
Sailor Emma Box C.C. Designs
I just loved the way this box turned out.  I drew the little raft to put behind her and was really happy with the way it turned out.  I kept this box for me:)
Birthday Box Sugar Nellie
I made this for a present for my aunt.  I am not normally very good at using flowers like this but it worked out with the box and what a sweet image.
This card was so fun to make, I loved the cute images and making all of the flowers.
Light House Sweet 'n Sassy
This technique was so much fun and I liked the masculine look of the card, in fact I think I might try it again.
This is different for me but I really loved the way the butterflies turned out.

Well there you have it six of my favorites for the year.  I will be back to share the rest.  Have a wonderful day!!

The Sweet Stop Sketch 138

I hope everyone had a good week.   It was another busy and fast one here.  We had a fun Friday night taking the kids to the Children's Theater and a trip to the River Walk to see the Christmas lights.  Now it is time to get those cards mailed, presents wrapped and the house ready for company.
The Sweet Stop Sketch is a great one for those last minute Christmas cards.  I was running short on time and decided a snowman would be perfect since there isn't as much to color.  I have had this stamp since last year from Sugar Nellie and finally inked this cutie up but I couldn't find it at Funky Kits.

Truly Blessed- The Sweet Stop Sketch 133

Right before I started typing this I read This Post from Katie Renz's husband.  Most of you know she has been battling a horrible cancer that has touched so many in the stamping community.  After reading what he wrote about his wife and hearing the pain she is in I am so overwhelmed with sadness I just ask that everyone pray for her and her family.  It makes you realize how fragile life is, how strong people can be and also how lucky we are for every minute we are given with our family.
Now on to one of my favorite things about Saturday....The Sweet Stop Sketch and here is my card for this week's challenge.
 Blessings to You
I have had this stamp from Sugar Nellie's Home Grown Autumn Kit since last winter and am finally getting around to using it.  I had to find that perfect plaid paper (MME Pajama Plaid)to go with that scarf and hat you know?  The sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy Christmas Tags, this is a must have set for the holidays.

Birthday Box and The Sweet Stop Sketch

**Update I am so excited that my box was selected as Top Three at Craft Us Crazy.  Thank You!!**
Today I wanted to share a box I made for my aunt for her birthday. Happy Birthday Val!! I decided she needed something nice to hold a gift card and maybe get some use out of.  I was also able to use this weeks sketch from The Sweet Stop SSS95, you gotta love a two for one:)  I must say I am very happy with the way this turned out.  I so love these beautiful digi stamps from Sugar Nellie and you will definitely be seeing some more from me.  This sweet little girl is named Joy Sitting from the Simply Adorable line and you can find her HERE.
The image was colored with  Copics and I pulled the colors from my papers to ground her which I think ended up looking like she is sitting on the beach.  The sentiment is from Paper Makeup which says "You Make The World A Better Place" I could not get a picture without the flower casting a shadow on it, sorry.  This paper that worked out perfectly with Joy is from Kaisercraft Gypsy Sister.  The lace is from The Paper Studio and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Copics
Hair-E25, E50, E31 Sweater-R89 ,R85, R83, RV17 Dress-BG13, BG11, BG10

It was very difficult to find challenges that aren't related to Valentine's Day but I did manage to find a few, woohoo.

Pink Party Princess

Hello my blogging friends.  I am finally back with a short post and there will be more this week since I have some deadlines coming up.  I miss crafting but there just isn't enough time or hands to do it as often as I would like, not to mention I am the slowest card maker ever.

We had another birthday party this weekend so I had to whip up a girly card this time.  I so goofed up and forgot to add one of my boarder layer pieces before I glued it down...uugh.  I used the Lillian's Sketch  Challenge #44 at The Sugar Bowl for the most part, I couldn't fit my image into an oval so I improvised.    I used Gorjuss Party Princess these are so cute and fun to color she reminds me so much of my Riley.

Gorjuss Poppy Fields

Happy Tuesday, not a very exciting day but I hope it turned out to be a good one for everyone.

I am trying to take part in some different challenges because I have oodles of wonderful stamps that need to be turned into something new, if only there were more hours in the day for me to craft...sigh.

Today I made a card for The Sugar Bowl Challenge #42 using Lilian's Sketch.  I adore Sugar Nellie stamps and they have a new release right around the corner, I can't wait:).  I wanted to do a fun and bright color combo so this paper from Lilly Bee's Hello Sunshine were perfect along with  Gorjuss Girl Poppy Fields.
The Oh Alice Challenge Chapter 28 is to create a card for a "Little Girl" so this card works perfectly for that challenge as well.

Part of the Sugar Bowl Challenge was to add pearls, mission accomplished.  The punch is Martha Stewart Double Loops, flowers are Prima and she was colored with Copics on my favorite paper Cryogen White.

Have a wonderful rest of the week and I will see you again soon.

Fragile Beauty

Can you believe it is already Thursday? I don't know about you but my week has flown by not to mention how fast the summer is going by.  I am so thankful we have had a mild summer here in South Texas, even occasional rain.  Not to say it isn't hot but very tolerable.  Enough chatter onto the fun stuff, stamping!!

Fragile Beauty

This pretty stamp is from Sugar Nellie and it is called Fragile Beauty and  you can find it here.  I kept the card pretty simple with just a few details.  She was colored with Copics on Taylored Expressions Choice Buttercream Cardstock and then I added just a touch of Crystal Stickles on the butterflies; yes it's true I really love my Stickles.  The paper is K&Company Wild Saffron along with Stampin Up Cardstock In Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip.  The butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart and the Birthday Sentiment is an old SU set Warmest Regards.

Have a wonderful day and please come back tomorrow I will have a card that "Dazzles" to show you.
