Happy Birthday Matey

I just wanted to share a birthday card I made for my son. This year was all about pirates and Jack Sparrow so I found this great Treasure Map digi from Make It Crafty and paired it with this cute Pirate Cooper from Paper Pretties.  I was so excited I got a Spellbinders Grand Calibur for Christmas and it gave me a chance to use the Grand Dies Label 1.  I doodled the X around the bottom  and colored everything with Copics but unfortunately I can't seem to find the list of colors. Coloring the map took quite a bit of time but it made me so happy that he loved the card so much he actually sat and looked at all the details before tearing open the presents.

The Sweet Stop Sketch 111

How is everyone doing? School is now out for summer,  I can't believe how fast the year has gone.  I am looking forward to fun times with the kiddos and then will dread seeing my Riley start Kindergarten. I try to remember to to appreciate every  moment while they are little because I already see how fast they grow up.  Today's card is one I made as a "Thank You" to one of the wonderful ladies that works in the office at school. I used this weeks sketch at The Sweet Stop SSS111 and I hope you can join us this week as well.
I made these little apples for gifts as well filled with special presents using my Cricut and Apple a Day template from My Time Made Easy.  I loved these and will definitely be making them again.

A Day for Honey

This is my second post today, I know shocking.  Today I have 2 cards to share with you using the the brand new Honey Digis by C. C. Designs available tomorrow at All That Scraps.  Christine has created 3 adorable images Skier Honey,  Angel Honey and Cheerleader Honey.

For this first card I made a double pocket card and used Skier Honey.  I love the colors in this paper from Bo Bunny called Winter Joy.  The sentiment is from Paper Pretties Snowflake Kisses and the punch is from EK Success.  I used Polar White Flower Soft  for the ground and a few soft flakes on  Honey's face.
For my next card I used Angel Honey and just kept it pretty simple with the lay out, I thought with this paper (Maya Patchwork) it didn't need much .  I would like to note that the ribbon  matches much better in real life:)

That is is it for today, I need a nap ( I wish) too many late nights.  Please go visit the ATS Blog and see the Digi Teams wonderful creations and don't forget to stop back tomorrow for a special post and release day.
