I wanted to tell you about the newest challenge over at CMC Copic Challenge Group.  This week we are being sponsored by a company very dear to my heart Sweet n' Sassy Stamps. Suzanne is still running a sale on all of the classes at the CMC Class Room, I can tell you they are the best!!
CMC Challenge #47 Color with Navy or Dark Blues
I discovered when I started coloring my image that I need to add some darker blues to my Copic collection.  I used Cocoa's Baseball Hat from Sweet n' Sassy and the Sketch is by Charisma Cardz Challenge #26

The Sweet Stop Sketch 115

Happy 4th of July weekend to everyone here in the states.  We don't really have any big plans other than maybe a cook out.  It has been so hot and dry here in Texas that there won't be any fireworks displays this year in our area at least...poor kids are little bummed about that.   This week at The Sweet Stop we have a new sketch and also two new Sugar Babies please stop by the blog and welcome Shannon and Cathy.  Sadly Denise and Dawn are leaving us and they will be truly missed but please don't forget to continue to visit them...hugs to you both.
I used Patriotic Cocoa by Sweet n' Sassy for my card and the paper is Creative Imaginations and as always I colored it with Copics.
Please visit the rest of The Sweet Stop Sugar Babies and see their beautiful creations and don't forget to join in this weeks sketch challenge.

What's Cookin With Cocoa?

Today I have a fun little gift set that I altered to share with you.  If  you have followed me for awhile you know I occasionally like to change things up from doing cards.  I think it is such a nice touch to make a personalized gift out of things that don't cost that much.

I found this cookbook at my local craft store and loved the pattern on it.  I then remembered the great cooking Digi's that Sweet 'n Sassy has to offer so I started by using Pie for Cocoa colored him with Copics and added some ribbon to the cook book, cute and simple.  I then used the Recipe Card Digital Stamp and  personalized the corners by adding Pie for Cocoa  along with one of the Kitchen Sentiments Digis.  These recipe cards are so versatile.. think of what a great gift idea these could be.

I thought this giant paper clip would make a great recipe card holder while you are cooking.  I am forever losing my recipe ... problem solved. Don't forget to laminate your stamped image for easy clean up. I used Chef Cocoa  and added the Kitchen Sentiment to the hat.  That is one of the many great things about digis, you can personalize items even more.
I hope you enjoyed my little project and I wish you a great weekend with time to craft.

Sweet Peeks Day 6 Patriotic Cocoa

Today I have another fun Sweet Peek to share with you from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  The rest of the super talented SNS Design Divas have some amazing projects to share too so please stop by for a visit here.  This set is called Patriotic Cocoa.  It has super cute images and sentiments that can be used for any patriotic holiday or for those special soldiers serving our country.  As soon as I saw this set I knew I wanted to make an Explosion box to celebrate The Forth of July.
OK, here it goes... are you ready?? LOL

Surprise!!
My kids have been having so much fun opening the box again and again watching the stars spring out.  I found this fun springy tinsel at Hobby Lobby along with the stars and paper.  I used a plastic container that I have saved from some embossing folders and cut it out around the thick edges to hold Cocoa up.

I will be there and would love to chat.  Thanks for stopping by today!!

A Valentine From Cocoa & Sweet Stop Sketch

Happy Saturday!! It is time for another wonderful sketch challenge at The Sweet Stop but this week there is a little twist which is to use dry embossing.  I used this cute digital stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy called Cocoa's Chocolates.  I love this little guy he is so cute and there so many more, you really should take a look.

I apologize my coloring is not my best on this card but hopefully the cute image makes up for it.  This was one of 22 cards I made this week (4 DT and 19 for my daughter's class) so I think I ran out of steam.   I did make my first attempt at paper roses, which I think turned out pretty good HERE is a tutorial if  you are interested.  I am definitely going to try making some different types, they are so much fun.
