The Sweet Stop 160

If you are here for the CMC Summer Blog Hop please scroll down to the next post.
I made a birthday card for my very sweet, fun and talented friend Melissa using this week's The Sweet Stop Sketch SSS160. Melissa loves the color orange and is an amazing photographer (check her out HERE) with a fun and artistic eye so when I saw this Saturated Canary image called Krafty Kate, I knew I wanted to make it for her.
I had fun playing with this hair color totally inspired by Melissa:) and the abstract paper had a lot of colors for me to pull from .
Don't forget to visit the rest of the Sugar Babies.
Sorry my post is so short, it has been a crazy week with another one ahead of me.
Have a wonderful weekend!!

If you leave comments along the way on the DT blogs you will be entered to win some fabulous prizes including a Free CMC Copic Online Class, a $20 Gift Certificate to SCACD and a $20 Gift Certificate to 7 Kids College Fund!
I decided to embrace the Summer theme by honoring two of my favorite summer things....flip flops and my kids at the beach.  An extra bonus our sponsor is my absolute favorite line of stamps, Saturated Canary by Krista Smith. This sweetie is called Beach Baby.

The challenge this week at CMC is to use the colors bright pink and green, love this combo.  I found this notebook in the $1.00 section at Michael's and used The Cutting Cafe's Summer SVG files to create the cutouts.  I wasn't happy with the patterned paper I had for the umbrella so I cut it out on my Cryogen and used my Copic multi liner to sketch one out and colored it up.  A little Stickles and bling finishes it off.

Happy Sweet Stop Saturday!! I am going to make this post super fast. When I made this card it was just not my day to be in the craft room.  I was so shakey and I couldn't color for anything plus my ruffles fell apart when I was taking the picture and I just realized when I fixed them they were no longer in the same place so some pearls are missing now....aaaaahhhh!!! Can you say Disaster? LOL.
This week it is a Sketch with a Spin which is to add ruffles or faux ruffles for your chance to win an awesome stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy.
This digi is from C.C. Designs Cherry Lucy and the paper is from My Minds Eye.
Don't forget to visit the rest of the Sugar Babies.
Have a great week and I promise I will try to pull it together on my next project:)

CMC Anything Goes-Thank You Teacher

Hey everyone!! I hope you had a fabulous Mother's Day weekend.  Mine was special with breakfast in bed and a Galaxy 2 Tab, and so many wonderful cards and pictures from the kids. Time goes by so fast and I wish I could keep them young and innocent forever.
Today was my birthday and boy do the kids love birthdays.  Zebra stripes and pink were the colors this year, so cute!! Addison didn't go more than five minutes without saying "happy birthday" or "it's your birthday", she it such a sweetie.
It is time for a new challenge at CMC Copic Challenge, it started Saturday but I am a little behind.
This time is a super easy one Anything Goes and we are being sponsored by Some Odd Girl.  I decided to stick with the school theme because now I have to get gifts done for end of school.  This digi is actually a freebie by Whimsie Doodles called Pencil Pixie and you can get her HERE.
I tried a new hair technique that I learned in the CMC Class 5.  This was my very first attempt and I just ran with it, I could use a little more practice but over all I think she turned out pretty good.  There is going to be an awesome sale coming up on May 25th so it will be the perfect time to take those classes.

There She Goes Mother of All Blog Hops

Welcome to the 3rd annual Mother of All Blog Hops sponsored by There She Goes Clears Stamps!   Over the next two days, we (customers and trendsetters!) will be featuring some of our favorite There She Goes Clear Stamp sets!   Not only that, we’re going to give YOU a chance to win some fabulous prizes!
To find out how, please go to the There She Goes’ blog and read the simple instructions.
Today I am sharing with you some projects I made for Teacher Appreciation Week.  I used Believe In You to create several cute little gifts to hand out during the week, these would be great for end of the year too.  I found this great vase at the Dollar Store which happened to be the same as some I had from Pier One, what luck.  With the flowers this cost me $5.00 to make (the price of the stamps never counts,LOL).
Next I dressed up a little Tea light holder and added a fun little verse.  I used an LED candle so they could use it in the class.  The teachers went crazy over these!!
Next I made these for both the teachers and office staff.  With making your own verses it doesn't leave a lot of room for stamps but how perfectly this worked out!!  There are so many stamps in this set that work great on tags and you can find them HERE.
I hope I inspired you to make your own teacher gifts and to think of all the things you can use these wonderful stamps for aside from cards. I would love for you to become a Follower so you won't miss some more fun projects I will be sharing soon, along with how I used digis to paint a mural on my son's wall.
Enjoy the MOABH!!

The Sweet Stop Sketch 158

Happy Sweet Stop Saturday!! I had a super busy crafting week trying to get gifts made for 5 teachers and 4 office staff for Teacher Appreciation week.  It was a huge success though:) I will be posting what I made in just a bit.
This weeks sketch is such a fun one, and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. I got to use one of my favorite  stamps from Wee Stamps called Dandelion Girl.  It reminds me of my baby Addison, she loves blowing "wish flowers" and now as a garden person I understand why my grandmother would cringe when I would blow them:)
I tried a new hair combo which I am pretty happy with, it has just a touch more gold than my usual dark blonde combo.

Happy Birthday Suzanne Blog Hop

The Color Me Creative Design Team has a secret!!!  Today we are hopping along to wish our fearless leader, Suzanne Dean, a VERY happy birthday!!!  Suzanne is the owner/creator of the Color Me Creative site and, as many of you know, teaches her Copic classes online and on the road!  She is one busy momma and we thought we'd take time to wish her a happy day and hope she gets to sit with her Cherry Coke and donuts (ya, a fav combination of hers!) and relax a bit today and enjoy the hop!

Each of us decided it would be fun to remember Suzanne today in "typical Suzanne" style!  Our creations will either help remember a "funny travel moment" with Suzanne or... share a secret about Suzanne.  Ha!!!  Bet she didn't see this coming!!! LOL

Here is what I created today....

As you can see the sentiment was created by little ole me:) We all know Suzanne travels with her Copics but lately she has a bit of a....shall we call it an "Obsession" with country music singer Luke Bryan.  She has already been to several concerts over the past few months with more to come.  I fear that if he sees her on the front row again he might get a restraining order, LOL.   I can only imagine how fun Suzanne is at a concert so I hope I get to go with her some day (San Antonio Rodeo*wink wink*:)
I merged two Tiddly Inks images together for my card Bloom Q and Suitcases. The sentiments on the ticket stamps from Whimsy reminded me so much of Suzanne.
Here is a little Eye Candy to go with her card:)
Now hop on over to the rest of the DT's sites to see what they are sharing about Suzanne.  ;-)

Have a wonderful Birthday Suzanne, continue to enjoy everyday to it's fullest, love ya!!!

Celebrating at CMC

I hope your week is going well this first day of May. It even sounds weird to say it is May already.  I wanted to tell you about a new challenge over at the CMC Copic Challenge Group and this time it is all about "Celebrations". I used this cute little Flamingo called Feathers from our sponsor Pixie Cottage to "Celebrate" summer which is right around the corner.

I think this is my first  entirely white card, very different for me but I really wanted to try something new.  Now Riley told me "it's  a good start Mommy" and didn't think leaving it white was a good idea, LOL.  Oh, well what do you do?
Copics
R85, R83,R81/Y38,Y35,Y32?BG05,BG02/B000/E42, E41
The sentiment is from Amy R Stamps Wish You Were Here and I added a little Diamond Stickles to the feathers.
You have until May 11th to join the challenge so stop by and get inspired by the CMC Design Team.
Have a wonderful day!!
