Do You Stack Up??? Guest Designer Card

Hello my crafty friends!! Today I have the extreme honor of being featured as a Guest Designer at the Do You Stack Up Challenge Blog, yippee!!  This weeks challenge # 13 is to use Clear, Light Pink and Mauve on your project.  The funny thing is that this became an extreme challenge for me because I had no mauve paper nor did anyone else in town it seemed. Long story short after finding two scrapbook stores had gone out of business and four craft stores later I finally found some... challenge accomplished.  This cute stamp is from  Lexi's Creations and is called Ollie Rainbow Bubbles.

To pull in some more mauve I created a stencil and sponged  the sky with Versa Magic Perfect Plumeria Chalk Ink.  The dot  paper is Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby and the stripe Is My Mind's Eye Carefree Precious Baby Blanket.  I popped up my blinged out "bubbles" so that you can see the clear element.  I used a feathering technique on the rainbow using the following markers.
 Copics
Rainbow-YR20, Y23, B91, R81, V91Grass- G20, G82, G40 Shadow-C1

Now it is your turn to join in the challenge so head on over to the DYSU blog and get some wonderful inspiration from the design team.  Thank you for stopping by and if you are new I would love it if you would leave a comment so I can visit you as well.

Soccer King

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  We had a big time camping out in the back yard,  I guess you could call it a test run to see how we would all do on a real camp out.  The kids had a great time making smores over the backyard fire pit and only Riley got a little freaked out with the outdoor noises.... me lets just say I love my cozy bed.
I wanted to share a card I made for one of Riley's friends.  I love this image from Tiddly Inks called Soccer King it reminds me so much of my baby boy.   The paper is a new collection from DCWV called Stripes, Dots and Plaids and it has some really great papers.  I cut out a guide for the clouds and sponged the sky, they just didn't show up well at all in this pic.  I just got a light tent so I have my fingers crossed that my pictures will improve.  He was colored with Copics, which I didn't keep up with and the grass was done with Prisma pencils.  I have a goal to start making more boy cards to actually have in my stash when I need one.

I hope everyone has a great week and believe it or not you will be seeing me more than once this week:)

The Sweet Stop SSS101

Another week has come and gone so quickly, I hope everyone had a great one.  I had super tired kids getting back into the swing of things after spring break not to mention Mommy too.  Today there is a new sketch at The Sweet Stop and we would love for you to play a long.  The Sugar Babies have made some really amazing cards this week so don't forget to stop by and take a peek.

Along with the sketch I used one of the C.C. Designs Digi Sets that will be retired  at the end of the month.  This set is called Ginger Snaps Spring Thing and you can find it and the others HERE at All That Scraps.  The sentiment was just typed up on my computer but it does come with a few.  Each of the images are individual so you can arrange them however you like.  Yes, I know my card is pretty simple this week but work got in the way of crafting.  I embossed both of the colored panels but they are  not showing up in the photo.  The paper I used is Echo Park Summertime collection and I didn't write down the Copics because there were so many laying on my desk I couldn't work anymore, you can always let me know if you have a specific question and I will try to help.

I have my very own Special Guest Designer today, my Riley has been busy crafting .  She always gets so excited when I share her cards with you.  She used the same Gingersnap set Spring Thing, I am going to save her others for the next post.

That is all from me today, I have some things that I have been working on for next week so I hope to see you again soon.

Sweet Stop's 100th Sketch - Have a Sweet Birthday Mom!!

Wow, how fast this week has gone!! I am so sorry I haven't gotten anything posted all week, it was a bit crazy here with Spring Break sleepovers, spring cleaning and all day playing.  Oh, I almost forgot...I finally have a crafting/work space of my own.  No more cleaning of the kitchen table before meals and at 3:00 at night, thank you IKEA and my wonderful husband.  I still have some orgnainzing to do but it is getting there.

Today is my mom's birthday so today's card is for her. " Happy Birthday Mom, I Love You!!"
Today's sketch at The Sweet Stop is Korin's 100th sketch, Wow.. I don't know how she does it, she is awesome!!  I really hope you will play along with us this week with the theme" How Sweet" there are some great prizes- a $25 gift certificate to Sweet n'Sassy and and the latest CD From Technique Junkies Emboss or Die.
This image worked out perfectly for the theme and it is from Mo's Digital Pencil called Birthday Fairy Lee and the sentiment is from Taylored Expressions For the Love of Cupcakes.   I fell in love with this paper from The Girl's Paperie called Vintage Whimsy.  I was very happy with the layout and distressing that I added with my distressing tool along with Distress Ink Linen however, when you get to my coloring, uugh!! I did some horrible procrastinating on ordering Copic refills and ran out of my R81 not to mention I can never seem to find the right pink combination in my collection, either to bright to coral.  My favorite is R81,83 and 85 but I wish there was a combo that has this tone but a bit lighter so if anyone has a favorite combo please let me know. I added some Crystal Stickles for some shimmer the swirl is from Sizzix and the flowers are from Wild Orchid.

My Funny Easter Release Day

It is Funny Easter Digi Release Day at All That Scraps.   I decided to do a  Stair Step card to show off all of these little cuties..  I once again pulled out my Cricut Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge to create a variety of flowers.  If you have a Cricut I highly recommend this cartridge, so many endless options for flowers.  Just make sure the blade is sharp, uugh I am new to the Cricut and really don't know what I am doing but I learned that the hard way with this card.  The paper is a brand new stack from DCWV Dots, Stripes and Plaids, love it!! I am being lazy from 3 hours of sleep so there is a picture of the Copics below this time.

I think I forgot R85 in the picture.

All That Scraps Digi Retirement and Sale Code

Good Morning!! How is everyone doing today? I have been up an hour and already need a nap, too many late nights.  My printer broke the end of the week and being on a digi team I had to hurry and get a new one.  I had wonderful luck with my last HP so I went with that brand again well, when I went to color my images they smeared with my Copics...aaahhhh.  Same brand but it used different ink cartridge.  After a lot of trial and error I figured out it was just a matter of setting the print options differently than I had before, mainly just use fast draft.  Anyhoo, I have been playing catch up so today I am just showing you an older card I did for All That Scraps. This is the Chubby Pencil Bunny Digi and you can find him HERE.  I must say I really liked how this card turned out with the distressed feel.
****ATS is doing some spring cleaning and at the end of the month over half of the Digis will be retired.  So you don't miss out HERE is a list ****
Receive 10% Off  the Digi and Clearance section

Have a great day and I will see you with some new creations tomorrow.

You will hear me complaining about the heat here in about a month, uugh.  My card today is for my Ri's best friend who turns five this weekend.  I used this weeks sketch from The Sweet Stop SSS98.  I have to tell you how much I love being a Sugar Baby; I have so much fun with Korin's sketches and I get to work beside such a talented group of ladies.
