Something Different and The Sweet Stop

What is this another post three days in a row? Crazy, I know.  Today is Saturday which means another great sketch challenge at The Sweet StopYou might have noticed this card is a little different style for me,  I tried really hard to just keep it simple.  I can sometimes get carried away and color an image for an hour so it was a nice challenge for me.  I used this wonderful digital stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called New Creature.  It has the most beautiful  sentiments along with the pretty butterflies.
I am going to enter my card in this weeks Flutter By Wednesday Challenge #143-which is open this week as long as it has a butterfly, angel or fairy.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and finds some time to get crafty. I also want to say a big " thank you" for all of the lovely comments and new followers to my blog, it means so much.

Happy Sailing from All That Scraps

**Update- I am so excited that my Sailor Emma was chosen as VIP Top 3 at Party Time Tuesdays and also at DYSU #8 Anything Goes and I get to be a guest designer for an up coming challenge at DYSU.  Thank you so much!!***
Hello!! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful week.  Everyone at my house is back to normal and going like crazy.  I have been putting in a lot of late nights trying to get ready for this weeks All That Scraps latest digi release and I am so excited to share my projects with you.
Sailor Emma
For my first project I used this adorable Sugarplums Emma Standing, how cute is she? I started by painting this wooden star box and added the paper from My Minds Eye Out and About stack.  I actually made the the raft by cutting out the circle and then using my Copic Multi Liner to sketch out the design followed by coloring it with Copics(colors below) then added the twine. The Bon Voyage is from Jolee's Boutique.

My next card features two Digis by C.C. Designs own Christine Wooden, Sailor Kids Trevor Sitting and the Dock.  I used a sketch from last weeks Mojo Monday, too late to enter the challenge though.  The paper is from The Paper Studio- Patriotic Stripe, Solid Blue Stars and the star buttons and ribbon are from the craft store.  I did use my Bow Easy for the bow, love that thing.

Think Spring

What a not so fun week this has been with two of my kids very sick along with Mommy, yikes!! I just barely got my card done for this weeks new sketch challenge at The Sweet Stop.  I was excited to use one of the new digis from Sweet 'n Sassy called Bethany Picking Flowers and you can find her and the others HERE...so cute.  My card is super simple this week, that was about all I could manage with my extreme lack of energy:)  This weeks sketch also has a spin which is Think Spring and that means a prize is up for grabs, yippee. I used Basic Grey's Sugar Rush paper along with the flower die from Sizzix's Hello Kitty Collection to add to the theme.  The sentiment is also a digi from Sweet 'n Sassy called Springtime Blessings.

That is it for today so please stop by The Sweet Stop and check out what the Sugar Babies have made to inspire you.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Box and The Sweet Stop Sketch

**Update I am so excited that my box was selected as Top Three at Craft Us Crazy.  Thank You!!**
Today I wanted to share a box I made for my aunt for her birthday. Happy Birthday Val!! I decided she needed something nice to hold a gift card and maybe get some use out of.  I was also able to use this weeks sketch from The Sweet Stop SSS95, you gotta love a two for one:)  I must say I am very happy with the way this turned out.  I so love these beautiful digi stamps from Sugar Nellie and you will definitely be seeing some more from me.  This sweet little girl is named Joy Sitting from the Simply Adorable line and you can find her HERE.
The image was colored with  Copics and I pulled the colors from my papers to ground her which I think ended up looking like she is sitting on the beach.  The sentiment is from Paper Makeup which says "You Make The World A Better Place" I could not get a picture without the flower casting a shadow on it, sorry.  This paper that worked out perfectly with Joy is from Kaisercraft Gypsy Sister.  The lace is from The Paper Studio and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Hippie Honey and the ATS Digi Release Day

It's Friday!! That means the weekend and three days until Valentine's Day.  Am I the only one not prepared yet? I have a few ideas but not much time to get them done. Luckily me and the hubby don't go too overboard with the day.  Today also means it is Honey Digi Release Day at All That Scraps and you can find them HERE.  We also have a new Design Team member, Donna and Guest Designer, Marion joining us so please stop by the ATS Blog and see their incredible creations.
Now on to my card.  I used Hippie Honey for my image along with my Slice Basics 3 cartridge for the letters.  The paper is a super fun set from Echo Park called Summertime and the flower is Prima.  I have lost my creativity lately so everything has been super simple, I hope I can find it somewhere soon.
Here is a list of the Copics- Hair E25, E31, E50 Clothes- YR15, YR16,YR18, YG03, Y11, Y13, Y15 Skin-E000, E00, E11, R20.
Have a wonderful day and I hope to see you back tomorrow for another Sweet Stop Sketch.

Easter Bunny Honey

Hello blogging friends!! I hope everyone is keeping warm. I have a super quick post today, I am just worn out from too many late nights and want to turn in early.  Besides, I totally cheated on my project so there isn't much to tell:)
Today All That Scraps has 3 new Honey Digis to share with you.  These are once again designed by the Super talented Christine Wooden for C.C. Designs and will be available Friday.  I used this cute Easter Honey for my project today, isn't she sweet?

So time and lack of energy got the best of me when my DT deadline snuck up on me so I totally had to cheat and went to Hobby Lobby and bought my felt flowers. I am such a cheater, I know:(  I had good intentions to make all of the flowers but it just didn't happen.  Oh, well I think it still made a cute little decoration. I did double up Honey and the Easter eggs to give some dimension.  TIP- I almost always outline the edges my cut images with black to give them a finished look however, it took me trial and error to figure out what markers didn't run or mess up the Copics. What I found works great is using my Vellum Writer by Zig, just a little FYI.

Grillin Bear and The Sweet Stop Sketch

Did everyone have a good week? We woke up to a little bit of snow here in South Texas this morning which is unheard of.  You would have thought it was Christmas morning as excited as the kids were.  It was also Daddy Bear's Birthday this week so I made this card for him with this image from Di's Digi Downloads (thanks Wendy for introducing me to them, love them!!)

I started with this weeks sketch at The Sweet Stop and used Grill Bear the perfect image for my Bear.  I distressed the edges  and then went over them with Walnut Distress Ink to give it the "burnt" look.
