A Berry Sweet Sketch at The Sweet Stop

Happy Saturday to all of my blogging friends.  I want to first say THANK YOU!! to all of you who have left such nice comments, it makes the late nights worth it.  I am a bit behind visiting blogs and I  hope to catch up but please know I truly appreciate you all and love to see what you are making as well. My goal this weekend is to organize my craft cabinet and make a plan to take over the sun/toy room for my craft space heehee( my evil laugh).

CC Designs Birthday Cupcake

Happy Friday!! I hope everyone is looking forward to a great weekend.  We will be busy with a birthday party, cub scouts events,church and who knows what else.  Rest would be good but we will see what happens.

 Today All That Scraps has this cute little CC Designs Birthday Cupcake by Christine Wooden available as a digi.  I challenged myself to keep this card simple to give to my daughter's little classmate.  I tend to go overboard and need to learn that sometimes quick and simple is good for the occasion if you know what I mean:) In my mind I wated this guy to be white with just the slightest highlights but wasn't happy with it so after I sent my photos to ATS I changed the little cuppie to blue, however this was also after my Addison Elmer glued a picture for her friend on the inside (that explains the warped paper)LOL.

C.C. Designs Geisha Girl Preview

I have another adorable preview for you today from All That Scraps.  Christine has been very busy coming up with adorable digis at ATS and these are no exception.  I have used one of the C.C. Designs Geisha Girls with Lantern.  I have kept my layout very simple to highlight this image and my new favorite paper from Prima Fairy Flora, love it.

I had to challenge myself a bit because to me a Geisha is suppose to have black hair, well guess what ? ...black hair is my Copic weakness.  I need a lot of practice so I tend to avoid it all together but here it is posted and I still need to practice:)

A Valentine From Cocoa & Sweet Stop Sketch

Happy Saturday!! It is time for another wonderful sketch challenge at The Sweet Stop but this week there is a little twist which is to use dry embossing.  I used this cute digital stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy called Cocoa's Chocolates.  I love this little guy he is so cute and there so many more, you really should take a look.

I apologize my coloring is not my best on this card but hopefully the cute image makes up for it.  This was one of 22 cards I made this week (4 DT and 19 for my daughter's class) so I think I ran out of steam.   I did make my first attempt at paper roses, which I think turned out pretty good HERE is a tutorial if  you are interested.  I am definitely going to try making some different types, they are so much fun.

Princess Lilliane at The Sweet Stop

I had hoped to be back on track this week and get more crafting done but not yet, I got way to use to staying up late and sleeping later over the holidays.... I hate going back to school:)
Today I used a new stamp and a new sketch from The Sweet Stop , I may have just broke my resolution to use my neglected stamps.  This is Princess Lilliane from the newest release from Sweet November, I love these stamps they are just beautiful and you can find them here at All That Scraps.  My girls told me she looks like The Little Mermaid so I had to go with red hair.
